Handlung

Nachdem der große Krieg gegen Madara gewonnen ist, geht es in Konoha friedlich zu und Naruto wird als Held gefeiert und ist in seinem Dorf so beliebt wie noch nie. Die Idylle wird allerdings jäh unterbrochen, als der Mond scheinbar auf die Erde zu fallen droht und der Kampf ums Überleben erneut beginnt. Nachdem Hinatas jüngere Schwester Hanabi über Nacht plötzlich entführt wird, sendet Hokage Kakashi einen Rettungstrupp bestehend aus Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Shikamaru und Sai aus, um den Geschehnissen auf den Grund zu gehen und Hanabi zu befreien. Dabei kommen sich Naruto und Hinata immer näher und als auch sie von einem mysteriösen Shinobi entführt wird, ist Narutos Wille, sie zu retten, entfesselt.
